Repair and modernize an old garden bed and border. Blechnum Oceaniopteris Gibba were planted below the Titoki trees as they will thrive with little light. New Ponga logs were installed along the garden border to hold in new soil as an additional point of interest. Fencing was added along the boundary of the property for increased privacy.
Automated Irrigation Controller
Spacescape Design was tasked with designing a fully automated irrigation system for an old villa. The system needed to water all the customer's gardens throughout the day and keep them hydrated throughout the summer months. Key features of the system included the ability to communicate with the central controller via a smartphone, as well as the ability to view water consumption. A mix of drip line and micro-jets were used to water the plants. Additional plans were supplied so that other contractors could control the unit if required.
Deck and Path Modernisation
Our customer had a long, narrow strip of land along the side of their house that was unused and unsightly. The area was covered in weeds and was difficult to access. We proposed installing a white stone chip path with pavers to create a walkway along the side of the house. This would make the area more accessible and would also improve the overall appearance of the property. The customer also wanted to be able to entertain friends and family on their back lawn, but they didn't want to damage the lawn by creating a permanent structure. We suggested installing an Outdure deck which would provide a comfortable and stylish space for guests to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The deck was installed in a day and caused minimal damage to the surrounding area. The customer was very happy with the results of the project. The new walkway and deck made the side of their house more attractive and functional, and they were able to start entertaining guests on their back lawn right away.
Provide entertainment Space and privacy from a busy Road
Spacescape was tasked to provide an entertainment area with screening from the road and privacy from the foot traffic along the foot path. A raised garden bed was used and great way to screen the entertainment area from the road and foot traffic. It was also be used to growing the plants that will provide privacy and shade. The customer didn't want to wait for the hedge to grow, so an instant hedge was used like black shade. A simple paving solution was used to create a hardscape area for your outdoor furniture. This will make it easier to move the furniture around and will also protect it from the elements.

Install of Outdure Deck
The current space was not used, and plants struggled to grow. My client wanted to enhance the space and make it more attractive. The solution was to provide a small outdoor deck for entertainment and to add more lighting to make accessing the property at night better. The deck was built in a sunny spot, and the plants were chosen to thrive in the conditions. The lighting was placed strategically to provide enough light for safety and enjoyment, but not so much light that it would be disruptive to neighbours.
Screening form surrounding Neighbour
The home has a pool and spa in the backyard, but the customer is concerned about privacy. They would like to install a privacy screen along the fence line to prevent neighbours from seeing them while they are in the pool or spa. The best solution for this customer was to install a privacy hedge screen along the fence line. The hedge wasn’t tall enough to block the view from the neighbours and surrounding views of the area.
HEDGE INSTALL FOR SCREENING FROM THE ROAD
Transforming Roadside Nuisance into a Tranquil Oasis: Our client desired a sanctuary shielded from the cacophony of traffic and the intrusive glare of headlights. They envisioned a towering hedge that would grant privacy on their deck, allowing them to unwind and entertain without feeling observed by the neighbours. Spacescape Design to the Rescue:
We meticulously crafted a solution that not only addressed their concerns but also seamlessly integrated with the existing landscape. Ficus Tuffi, with its vibrant emerald foliage, emerged as the perfect choice. Its lush greenery echoed the property's existing plant palette, while its dense growth promised an effective noise and light barrier.
Beyond Functionality, an Aesthetic Triumph: Ficus Tuffi isn't just a practical hedge; it's a living sculpture. Its glossy leaves shimmer in the sunlight, casting a dappled pattern on the deck below. As it matures, it will gracefully arch outwards, creating a sense of enclosure and intimacy.
BRING YOUR GARDEN TO LIFE WITH a SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEM
Spacescape design recently had the pleasure of installing a fully automated irrigation system for a stunning property. The challenge was to create a system that could efficiently water a diverse mix of plants, including tropical plants, ground cover, vegetable gardens, and hedging plants, all with different watering needs. Additionally, the homeowner wanted the ability to control the system remotely and make adjustments as needed, even when away from home. A Customised Solution for Diverse Needs
To meet these requirements, we selected Rainbird's integrated irrigation solution. This system uses a combination of drippers and micro jets to deliver precise watering to each plant type, ensuring optimal growth and water conservation. The programming was completed using the Rainbird App, which provides a user-friendly interface for creating and adjusting watering schedules. And thanks to the system's remote connectivity, the homeowner can now monitor and control their irrigation system from anywhere in the world, using their smartphone or tablet. Key benefits of the system include:
Efficient and targeted watering: Drippers and micro jets deliver water directly to the root zone, minimizing waste and promoting healthy plant growth.
Remote control and monitoring: The homeowner can control the system from anywhere, making it easy to adjust watering schedules as needed and ensuring peace of mind when away from home.
Water conservation: By delivering the right amount of water to each plant type, the system helps to conserve water, a valuable resource.
Convenience and peace of mind: The system takes the guesswork out of watering, giving the homeowner more time to enjoy their beautiful garden
